General character background/ history:
Pre- City History
July 2004: Seyda entered the city after being turned by the vampiress annell. Her sire brought Seyda to the city for her protection, and then abandoned her in a transit station almost immediately with nothing. She was recruited by DarkestDesire shortly after her arrival for her new clan, League of Shadow Demons (LoSD). The blonde took to clan life very easily, and was quickly named the Co-Head of Intel along with Argnosax, whom she dated for a short period of time.
November 2004: Seyda was promoted to the position of Second in Command of LoSD a mere four months after her turning. During her tenure with the clan, she held several other titles including Head of Thievery and RPShadows Head Instructor, as well as pitching in anywhere else that needed it. Also during this time, the first of Seyda’s non-city powers manifested after a traumatic event during a power quest. A clanmate, MidniteMadness, identified it as Dimension Walking, a phenomenon similar to astral projection or depersonalization disorder.
Spring 2005: While teaching in RPShadows, fell for a student named Wolfshadow. The pair went on to marry and then spent an almost absent nine months before Seyda made the decision to sever ties.
September 7, 2005: After growing increasingly frustrated with the neutral spin the LoSD was taking coupled with several of the clan leader’s choices over the past several months, Seyda left LoSD.
September 8, 2005: Seyda founds the Republic of Ravenblack (RoR) with Rawnie, ArcticRainDrop, and Wolfshadow. Under Seyda’s leadership, RoR went from 4 vampires and a 100,000 coin donation on day one to a double divisioned clan that was 1/5 of the dominating Unholy Alliance.
Spring 2006: Seyda bound to obsidian because both of the vampiresses were trying to heal from their respective marriage failures and took solace in the experience of the other. A somewhat platonic marriage, both vampiresses were seeing others during the course of their marriage, and in early August 2006, severed in order to pursue these relationships.
September 21, 2006: Seyda and Asmia were bound in a very private ceremony with just a few invited attendees.
January 10, 2007: Seyda took control of the LoSD and merged it into RoR.
Summer 2007: Seyda grew tired of constantly having to place the needs of the clans and their members over the needs of her wife, Asmia. After spending close to three months grooming her childe, nitenurse, to take her place, both Seyda and Asmia resigned their positions within RoR.
August 31, 2007: The St. John lineage was born after Seyda’s sire, Sidh, severed her and left the city. Her childer at the time, Wyndcryer, nitenurse, and Delphine, requested that she not sire back into the lineage they had previously been in and asked for her last name. Seyda named them St. John as a way to pay homage to her father, who had been killed the morning after the family’s celebration of the Norwegian holiday Jonsok, which is Saint John’s Eve.
November 5, 2007: Seyda and Asmia St. John took their place as members of the clan Yggdrasil. During this same time, Seyda focused on the relationships within her family, and the St. John family became one of the most prolific bloodlines in the city.
2010: Seyda slept off and on throughout the year, waking for the Legacy war, when she came face to face with her former co-Consul, Rawnie. Once the war was completed, Seyda went to sleep as a result of exhaustion, her wife sleeping more than she was awake, and what she viewed as a betrayal from her oldest friend.
March 2013: Seyda woke up to a changed city, and within the first 72 hours of being awake, her former grandchilde had announced his intentions of destroying her clan leader, ophelia, and the alliance she helped build by extension. Professionally, her theme of 2013 was karma; something that was dished out in droves throughout the year, with numerous vampires in the city getting it served cold by her orchestration.
March 24, 2013: Seyda began dating Rawnie Lautari-Dumont upon her return and severed Asmia, who was taking eternal slumber. After a brief romantic relationship with Rawnie, which ended within a month due to infidelity on Rawnie's part, Seyda had a mental breakdown that culminated in a series of very bad personal life choices throughout the year.
May 2013: Seyda settled into a relationship and binding with Dea di Luna. This relationship was destroyed due to infidelity on Seyda's part as well as some major conflicts between the women’s beliefs. They severed and rebound in Fall 2013 as the couple chose the hard road of putting their pieces back together. Unfortunately, due to Dea's inability to truly forgive and Seyda's inability to handle a relationship with someone who hated everything she loved, Seyda ended up returning to the city alone after her attempts to fix things failed. Seyda severed Dea di Luna in July 2014.
2014: Seyda took Drella D’dary as a sire. This was initially intended to be a joke, but after the negative reaction of some in Seyda’s family, she kept the bond.
October 12, 2014: Seyda and Dahlia- were bound after a few months of dating. The relationship ended abruptly by Dahlia- in January 2015.
January 2015: ladypeacek made her return to the city and after admitting to Seyda that she had loved her for close to a decade, the pair began dating. They were married in a private religious ceremony on February 16, 2015 and their civil binding took place on March 10, 2015. The pair have had a bit of a time feeling out their polyamorous lifestyle, with failed relationships with Moondreamer and Ryukotsusei.
March 10, 2015: ophelia, Seyda's long time best friend and clan leader, abruptly left the highly inactive Yggdrasil; leaving a Dear John note to both Seyda and Valens Dragosee. Valens also left as a result, leaving Seyda to try to revive a sleeping giant as General. After several months of effort coupled with a war between allies, Seyda eventually gave up, letting the clan and the name fall into the history books.
2016: Seyda and Pea left the city on extended honeymoon after she gave up on Yggdrasil; she returned five months later to find that most of those that she cared for her severed her, including her sire and several childer. In December, Pea returned solo and ran into her long time friend, Annabelle Adaire. Pea asked Seyda if she would return to the city for Annabelle, and Seyda agreed, returning on the 31st. As a testament to the blonde’s notoriety, she nominated herself on the last day of the year for every negative award that the local paper had for their awards show, and actually won a few.
2017: Upon her return, Seyda focused her energy toward supporting her wife with endeavors, becoming an elder with the briefly formed Tantibus and with mayoral adventures. After Tantibus, Seyda attempted to retire from the politics of the city and had until she was attacked by din Kolesi on November 18. She took Annabelle as a sire the next day, joining her wife's bloodline. This was shortlived, however, as they were both severed on January 9, 2018.
March 2018: Seyda and Pea both sired under darkwolf in March 2018.
May 22, 2018: Seyda suffered her first war loss and staking at the hands of the House of Silence, a conflict that branched off from the Sonvar-Agrippa war. After taking her first war zero at the hands of her former adopted childe, the St. John matriarch realized that retirement was never an option for someone like her.
October 2018: Seyda began dating Annabelle after she left her husband and the pair got engaged on November 18. After a bit of turmoil, Annabelle left in December. Seyda then briefly dated LadyLorrana, but the circumstances surrounding them made the relationship almost impossible. Seyda dubbed Lorrana her “spirit animal” as a way of describing the nature of their relationship.
January 2019: Seyda’s former childe, current sibling, and close friend, Julia, turns on her and the family after receiving bad intel. This leads into a business deal made between Daly and Seyda--since Julia spied on his house during Seyda’s watch, Seyda needed to clean up the mess or her family pays. Seyda opts for the clean up and war against the House of Pacherontis begins.
February 2019: During the middle of the HoP war, Lorrana goes dead and buried. The trauma from the event causes a breaking of the dissociative splits in her brain, causing an overwhelming outpouring of emotion.
March 5, 2019: The HoP war comes to a close and Seyda takes a stake from House Agrippa for a variety of reasons. As a result of the stake, it is agreed that all comments and plotting between Damacus and Seyda would come to a close, and St. John would be free to build without it being boycotted and torn apart.
April 29, 2019: Annabelle and Seyda bind--after Seyda’s staking and torpor, Annabelle returned and the pair reconciled.
October 22, 2019: Seyda is severed by darkwolf.
April 2020: Seyda is approached by doncey to become an educator in his new educational venture. Seyda agrees and although things go well at first, there was a very clear philosophical divide between the pair. It was a combination of her reporting of inappropriate behavior going ignored and accusations around the circumstances regarding her new childe, James Locke, that eventually cause Seyda to leave.
April - September 2020: While at the school, Seyda discovers that one of the students, James Locke, was someone that she had softly mentored and protected while he was a child and had come to the city to find her. She ended up turning him in June 2020 and backed his new organization, Saints of Salem, which was focused on lowering the number of vampire hunters and paladins in the city in an attempt to keep the streets safer. During this time, Seyda realizes that the hunters and paladins were more organized than she thought and that they were loosely affiliated with her own family, who had used Monarch Programming to turn her into a sleeper agent as a child. The mission turned entirely personal between Seyda and the Church, and she made a series of highly emotional choices, which ultimately contributed to the death of James.
